My Thoughts:
Fear was an excellent book. Plain and simple. How Michael Grant manages to come up with a unique dilemma each and every time, I'll never know.

As you've probably been informed, Fear is about the dark.
The large bubble around Perdio beach is going black; and a dark inky substance is scaling the dome walls- threatening to cut off the only sunlight in the Fayz forever.

Oh- and one more thing. Diana's pregnant with a three bar child. Oopsies! The mother drama, the suspense, the darkness, and yes- the Gaiaphage; all wrapped up into one amazing book.

Although my favorite parts, were the outer dome snippets. The tiny chapters of Fear where we got a glimpse of the outside world. What's the government doing to fix the big dome? How are the parents coping? And what of those odd hints Connie temple's been dropping? All those gnawing questions get answered in Fear.

The level of grittiness and realism transmitted to the reader was feat by itself, but Michael Grant manages to crank it up a gear; and re-create the very world we've come to know as The Fayz.
Rating 4.8/5
What to expect?
  • Crazy Penny!
  • Darkness!
  • The "you didn't see that coming" ending.
  • Outside world glimpses!

  1. I haven't read any of these but I do own the first one! I actually recently made a book jar (where you write down books on a slip of paper and draw at random) and put Gone on there so I will inevitably read it!

    1. That's such a good idea! A simple and innovative way to solving the "WHAT DO I READ NEXT!?" issue. Thanks for this!
Gone is REALLY GOOD DYSTOPIA. Its not like the hunger games though- its kids more "earthy".

    2. Yeah! It also makes you read books that you might have otherwise not chosen for something else. I really love dystopia, so I don't think I will be disappointed with this one.
