My Thoughts: The Mark Of Athena By Rick Riordan

"Told from the perspectives of four different demigods, including Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Mark of Athena unites the Greek and Roman main characters from The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune.
In a fantastical ship called the Argo II, seven demigods journey by air across the United States and by sea to Rome on their quest to defeat the earth mother, Gaea. Meanwhile, war is breaking out between the Roman and Greek demigods they left behind, and only Annabeth holds the key to restoring peace."-From The Heroes of Olympus Website
My Thoughts
The Mark Of Athena was quick, snappy and absolute genius.
The story; told from 4 different points of view offered many side-ventures often conveyed simultaneously. Usually in other books, this confuses the reader to the point of putting the novel their novel down, however with Rick Riordan's expert skill, he managed to cleanly and crisply switch in and out of four side-ventures without confusing the reader. This "little" feat; provided many new and refreshing points of view to add to the overall heroism of our beloved Percy Jackson.
As usual with Rick Riordan's other bestselling books, the Mark Of Athena Carried a big quest to fulfill, but unlike  the rest of the heroes of Olympus series, the Mark of Athena lacked the classic Rick Riordan ending. The kind of ending that consisted of a killer cliff-hanger that would literally compel you to buy his next book.
Sure The Mark Of Athena had an amazing plot twist at the end, however it didn't compel me enough to want his next book That badly. So although The Mark of Athena wasn't flawless, I still thought it was a pretty darn good book.
