My Thoughts
After reading Oblivion, I'm starting to think I have membrane issues. You've probably read some of my other reviews where I say things like "I couldn't get "In" to the novel, It felt like I was experiencing things through a transparent membrane" right?

Well this was sorta the case with Oblivion. I'm not sure whether it's the Point of view, or something of the like. But I got the sense that I was a bystander, idly watching the story go by with a strong sense of security. The descriptions were great, the story telling amazing- yet it didn't feel like I (the reader) was a part of the story.

One of the many "pros" of Oblivion was the fact that people (LOADS OF THEM) died. And when I say "loads" I literally mean it. Like thousands.... It added an aspect of realism only glimpsed in YA fantasy. I should warn you though, some people die in... Shall I say grotesque ways. (Torture included

In conclusion, I must say I would recommend Oblivion to one of my friends, the ending of Oblivion was given good thought and was carefully crafted.  A very decent read people!
