CVC #9: Mortal Coil Vs The Doomsday Code

Welcome to the brand new segment I like to call CVC, short for Cover Versus Cover. Basically I give you two covers, a short analysis - as well as the authors name. Based on that- you'll vote for the cover you think best. The polls will close early Friday Morning. And on Friday afternoon you'll come back to this post to see your voting results. (they'll be posted on the bottom). Ok People, this is the VERY last CVC until our grand finale next week where the winning author shall receive The Book Gazer's (Virtual) Cover of the season Award! Let's get Started, This weeks contestants are Mortal Coil, and the Doomsday Code!
1) First off Let me say that I love Skulduggery Pleasant, it's an amazing book with an even better cover. Right in front; you see none other than the infamous Skulduggery Pleasant  being pulled apart by a group of desperate zombie hands. A real brilliant cover, I like how the author sets the theme with a fiery explosion background, it cultivates the whole piece together.
2) Okay, you can't help but love Time Riders. I mean Come on! The blood red assassins cloak, shiny golden throwing knife, meanwhile the whole guy's disappearing in a flurry of code.... It's awesome! A perfect mix of everything a reader could want. Even the tiny gears behind the word "Time Rider's" look cool.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the book covers you see on this CVC post, However I am using them under the fair use act. Under fair Use I am allowed yo use these images as long as I am: Providing commentary (which I am) and or Providing criticism (which I am). Under fair use I must show where I have acquired these images from, you can find where I get these images from by clicking the image.

I kind of like the Doomsday Code one better since the Mortal Coil cover seems a bit too busy, but I do agree! The fiery background really gives it a dramatic flair right? :D
