"In the year 2051, who has a pulse?
With the help of her mysterious classmate Dylan Gilmore, Faith Daniels discovers that she can move objects with her mind. This telekinetic ability is called a "pulse," and Dylan has the talent, too.
In riveting action scenes, Faith demonstrates her ability to use her pulse against a group of telekinesis masters who are so powerful they can flatten their enemies by uprooting streetlights, throwing boulders, and changing the course of a hurtling hammer so that it becomes a deadly weapon. But even with her unusual talent, the mind—and the heart—can be difficult to control. If Faith wants to join forces with Dylan and save the world, she'll have to harness the power of both.
Patrick Carman's Pulse trilogy is a stunning and epic triumph about the power of the mind—and of love."-Amazon

My Thoughts:
I've seen a heated debate going on about Pulse. Some people despise it  (very notable, fair, reviewers) yet some people absolutely love it. The result is a 3.5 rating on goodreads,
spangled by a hodge-podge of 5 and 1 star reviews
I think this stems from a difference in how people perceived the first 40% of Pulse; but I'll graze over that later. Right now, lets move onto the review.

The characters.
Yes they were stalkers! I  find it a bit odd, that almost every male being in Pulse is either sitting outside faith's window, recording her in her sleep, or drugging her. Seriously.

The Powers
Another odd thing, is that Faith dismissed her powers for way too long. Constantly putting away evidence that would have alarmed almost ANYONE. Things are moving in places they shouldn't be, people! You're catching glimpses of them too! WHEN, FAITH, WHEN!!?
About 40% of Pulse is dedicated to Faith's Daily life, slowly building up suspense. I in a way,  flowed through those chapters in a state of dull intrigue. However I realise, that around half of the people who've read this book utterly HATED that section. So you have been warned!
The really bizarre part.
In spite of everything listed above, in some unusual; twisted hand of fate, I didn't mind ANY of  Pulse's blemishes. They didn't bother me!
I actually found the second half of Pulse to be riveting; and that's not even delving into the Drifter's affairs.. (I loved the Drifters)

  1. HEY it's a Tom Hiddleston gif that I've never seen before! I must add this to my collection. xD Sounds like this one is different for everyone, like you said in your last post: I'll just have to read it and decide for myself! Great review!
