My Point list Review!
(My thoughts were a bit jumbled in first drafts of this review, so I thought it would be easier to do a point list! Enjoy.)
Neutral Point
When I heard Dark Eden had a sequel I was a bit confused. I mean, wasn't everything wrapped up in the first book? A few lingering questions, not quite a "happy ending"- but by all means "wrapped up". Well...no. And to this extent Eve of Destruction felt like those "special reunion episodes" Tv shows used to have.Positive Point
The characters in Eve of Destruction are noticeably more intense than they were in Dark Eden. Each person seemed to be a purer, more amplified version of what they were originally. It was oddly entertaining to watch,
Positive Point
Although I thought Eve of Destruction wasn't exactly necessary; I did avidly enjoy it. The plot pacing was very quick; in fact little faster than Dark Eden. If this were the first book would've adored it. Alas, that's not the case.
Negative Point
My only issue is that Eve of Destruction relied too heavily on the predicament of being trapped underground to move the plot/story forward. Due to Patrick overplaying this dire situation, the reader is left somewhat nonchalant over the occurrences beneath Fort Eden.
My-sterious point!
The ending. Oh that ending.
I really should've seen that coming.

I really like the way you did this review! It is very easy to read. I have heard of Dark Eden but never knew much about it. I dislike when authors write another book after the first book was tied up though. Then it seems like they are just trying to make more money.
