Eddie's Book Haul! #2

I have been so busy these past two weeks, school and life have been hectic. But I'm back now, and ready to read! Here are the books I've bought today! (Click Each cover to read the blurb)

---In Print---

Penguin's pride and Joy! - and apparently rightfully so too. Though I haven't cracked Half Bad's spine (That sounded gory), I've read numerous  positive reviews on this book. Rhys at ThirstForFiction even said "HALF BAD by is like Harry Potter but completely different at the same time". So naturally, I'm curious as to what the buzz is all about.

Tremor: This is the second novel in Patrick Carman's trilogy about a young Telepath. Pulse (The first in the series) was a success for me, blending telepathy and dystopia together In a way that enticed me. Though I wasn't blown away, it was enough to make me buy the sequel. According to goodreads, Patrick's second Pulse novel has a higher rating than his first, so that's promising!

Slanted Worlds: I first read "The Obsidian Mirror" over Christmas break- and loved it. Slanted Worlds is the long awaited follow-up to that, one that I have been waiting on for months. There's something about Fisher's strange writing tone that simply hooks me in!

  1. I really like your background!

Anyway, I've heard so many great things about Half Bad but some negative things as well. Guess it's just one of those books you read and decide for yourself about! I haven't heard of The Obsidian Mirror but it sounds pretty good. And I've been curious about the Pulse books. Enjoy!
